The Law Office of W. Mark Wilczynski can be fairly described as an Insurance Defense firm -- in that much of our work at the request of insurance carriers in representing the businesses which they insure.

One of the very unique aspects of this practice is our focus on Toxic Torts.  For decades, one of the largest oil refineries in the world operated in St. Croix.  While that refinery churned out billions of barrels of oil, it also produced thousands of lawsuits.  This office has been on the forefront of these efforts for many years.

Of course, not every lawsuit is a case concerning decades of exposure to invisible irritants.  Sometimes, somebody just slips on a spilt drink.  Business and property owners can face lawsuits based upon dangerous conditions existing on the property.  This is the law of Premises Liability. 

Insurance carriers have a complex and highly regulated business.  Their work involves a lot more than collecting premiums, processing claims, and writing checks.  We offer a number of services to Insurance carriers where their business and the law intersect.
